# AI Review and match score

> How Enfue's AI scores each applicant against your job, what the score is made of, and how to use it to decide who to look at first.

Every applicant gets an **AI Review**: a match score out of 100 that shows how well they fit the job, a breakdown of where the score comes from, and a short summary written by AI. It helps you decide who to look at first, especially when a job attracts hundreds of applicants.

## Where you'll see the match score

* As a colored bar in the **Match Score** column of [Applicants](https://doc.enfue.com/hiring/applicants/overview.md) and [Tasks](https://doc.enfue.com/hiring/tasks.md).
* In a circle on each applicant card on [mobile](https://doc.enfue.com/mobile/applicants.md).
* In the **Evaluations** section of the [applicant profile](https://doc.enfue.com/hiring/applicants/applicant-profile.md#ai-review), and as a label next to the applicant's name, for example **45% Low Match**.
* On the evaluation page, so interviewers see it too. See [Evaluations](https://doc.enfue.com/hiring/evaluations.md#completing-an-evaluation-for-interviewers).

A dash instead of a score means the applicant hasn't been scored yet.

## What the score is made of

The match score adds up five factors. Expand the **AI Review** to see them on a chart and as a **Factor breakdown**:

| Factor | Points | What it looks at |
| - | - | - |
| **Skills Match** | up to 30 | How well the applicant's skills match the skills the job needs. |
| **Relevant Experience** | up to 30 | How relevant their work experience is to the role. |
| **Role Fit** | up to 20 | How well their background fits the role overall. |
| **Qualifications** | up to 10 | Their education and qualifications. |
| **Practical Fit** | up to 10 | Practical points, such as location and availability. |

Below the breakdown, the **AI summary** explains the applicant's strengths and any gaps in a few sentences.

> [!TIP]
>
> The score is only as good as the job description. Add the required skills and a clear description when you [create the job](https://doc.enfue.com/hiring/jobs/create-a-job.md), so the AI knows what to look for.

## Use it well

* **Sort by match score** to review the strongest applicants first.
* **Read the breakdown, not just the number.** An applicant with a low **Skills Match** but full marks for **Relevant Experience** may still be worth a call.
* **Combine it with your team's judgment.** The score helps you prioritize; your interviewers' [evaluations](https://doc.enfue.com/hiring/evaluations.md) decide.

> [!NOTE]
>
> AI scores can miss context a person would notice, such as a career change or transferable skills. Always review the CV before disqualifying someone.
