# Interviews

> Schedule, edit, and cancel interviews, and track interview activity across your team.

The **Interviews** page shows every interview your team has scheduled, along with a few numbers on how interviewing is going. Open it from **Hiring → Interviews** in the main menu.

## Interview activity at a glance

Three boxes at the top summarize your interviews. Each one shows the change compared with the previous period, as a percentage with an up or down arrow.

* **Total Interviews**: the number of interviews scheduled.
* **This Week**: interviews happening this week.
* **Participation Rate**: the share of scheduled interviews that actually took place.

On the right:

* **Weekly Interviews**: a bar chart of how many interviews fall on each day of the week.
* **Top Interviewers**: who on your team is running the most interviews.
* **Top Organizers**: who is scheduling the most interviews.

## The interview list

Switch between two tabs:

* **Upcoming**: interviews that haven't happened yet.
* **Done**: past interviews.

| Column | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Date** and **Time** | When the interview starts. |
| **Candidate** | The applicant being interviewed. |
| **Job** | The job they're interviewing for. |
| **Interviewer** | Who runs the interview. |
| **Organizer** | Who scheduled it. |
| **Format** | **Offline** for in-person interviews, or online for video calls. |
| **Stage** | The hiring stage the interview belongs to, for example **Matching Interview**. |
| **Room** | The meeting room booked, if any. |
| **Result** | The outcome of the interview, once it's done. |

To see only the interviews organized by particular people, use the **Organizers** filter above the table on the right.

## Schedule an interview

You can schedule an interview from three places:

* **Schedule appointment** at the top of the Interviews page.
* The calendar icon on an applicant card in the [Pipeline](/hiring/pipeline#quick-actions-on-a-card).
* The calendar icon in the **Action** column on the [Applicants](/hiring/applicants/overview) page, or in the [applicant profile](/hiring/applicants/applicant-profile).

When you start from an applicant, their name is filled in for you. From the Interviews page, you pick the applicant yourself.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Choose the applicant">
    Click **Schedule appointment**, then search for the applicant by name. This is required.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set the date and time">
    Choose the **Date**, **Start time**, and **End time**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add interviewers">
    Click **Add** under **Interviewers** and search for people on your team. You need at least one. Interviewers are asked to submit an evaluation after the interview.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose what interviewers can see">
    Under **Evaluation options**, tick either or both:

    * **Show all comments about this applicant**: interviewers can read your team's comments.
    * **Show evaluation history and documents**: interviewers can see earlier evaluations and attached documents.

    <Tip>
      For later-round interviews, turn on **Show evaluation history and documents** so interviewers can build on what earlier rounds found instead of asking the same questions again.
    </Tip>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose the format">
    * **In-person**: check the **Location**. Your office address is filled in.
    * **Video call**: there's no location. The meeting link comes from the meeting tool you've connected (see [Video call tools](#video-call-tools) below).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Book a room (optional)">
    Under **Book meeting room**, search for and select a room. Each room shows its floor and capacity, for example **Floor 1 • Capacity: 5**. Rooms are set up in [Rooms](/settings/users/rooms).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Write the invitation">
    Pick a template under **Use interview template** to fill in the title and description, or write them yourself. The **Title** is required.

    The title and description are what the applicant receives as their invitation, so include everything they need: the date and time, the address or link, the language of the interview, who they'll meet, and a contact number.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    Save the appointment. It appears in the **Upcoming** tab, in the applicant's profile under **Interviews**, and as a date on their Pipeline card.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Save a well-written invitation as an interview template so your team doesn't have to rewrite it each time.
</Tip>

## Edit or cancel an interview

1. Click the **⋯** button at the end of the interview's row. The **View & Edit Interview** panel opens.
2. Change any of the details: date, time, interviewers, format, location, room, title, or description.
3. Click **Update** to save your changes, or **Discard** to close without saving.

To call off the interview, click **Cancel appointment** at the bottom of the panel.

<Note>

</Note>

## Video call tools

To run video-call interviews, connect a meeting tool under **Settings → General → Integrations → Meeting tools**:

* **Teams Calls**: Microsoft Teams, used for calendar invites and emails.
* **Google Meet**: used for video calls and online meetings.

Turn on the switch next to the tool your team uses. See [Integrations](/settings/general/integrations).
