# Creating and editing a job

> Create a new job, write the description with AI, set salary and skills, and choose whether it is internal or published on your career page.

Every hiring process in Enfue starts with a job. The job holds the description candidates see, the skills you are looking for, and the people on your team who work on it.

## Create a job

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the job form">
    Go to **Hiring → Jobs** and click **Create job** at the top of the job list.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose who can see the job">
    At the top of the **Job details** panel, pick one option:

    * **Use internally**: the job is for internal use only. Your team can track applicants, but the job is not shown publicly.
    * **Publish on Career site**: the job appears on your [career page](/workplace/career-page) and candidates can apply.

    You can change this later.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the job title">
    Type the **Job title**. This is required.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Write the description, or let AI write it">
    Click **Create JD for me** next to the job title and Enfue drafts a job description for you. You can then edit it in the **Description** editor.

    You can also write the description yourself. The editor supports headings, bold and italic text, lists, links, emoji, tables, and images. The default template gives you two sections to fill in: **Key job responsibilities** and **Required qualifications**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Assign your team">
    * **Assignee**: the person responsible for this job. Click **Assign to me** to assign it to yourself.
    * **Supporter**: other people who help with the job.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add the job details">
    | Field | Required | Notes |
    | - | - | - |
    | **Workplace** | No | Where the work happens. |
    | **Location** | Yes | For example, Da Nang, Vietnam. You can add more than one. |
    | **Employment type** | Yes | For example, Full time. |
    | **Experience** | No | The experience level you are looking for. |
    | **Salary** | Yes | Choose **Open negotiation**, or **Salary range** and enter a minimum, maximum, and currency. |
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add the required skills">
    Under **Required skill**, add the skills candidates need, such as Manual Testing, Playwright, or English. You can add up to 20 skills.

      Required skills are used by Enfue's AI when it scores applicants, so the more accurately you list them, the more useful the [match score](/hiring/jobs/job-applicants#match-score) will be.

  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    Click **Save** at the bottom of the panel. The job appears in your job list.
  </Step>

## Edit a job

1. Open the job from the job list.
2. Click the **Edit** tab.
3. Change the description or required skills on the page, or update the other fields in the **Job details** panel.
4. Click **Save**.

## Make a job internal or public

Open the job's **Edit** tab and switch between **Use internally** and **Publish on Career site** at the top of **Job details**. In the job list, public jobs show a green **Public** badge and internal jobs show an orange **Internal** badge.
