# Notes

> Write meeting minutes, interview notes, and team documents together in real time, with every change saved automatically.

**Notes** is your team's shared space for writing things down: meeting minutes, interview debriefs, hiring plans, and anything else your HR team needs to keep. Several people can edit the same note at the same time, and every change is saved automatically, so nothing gets lost.

Open **Notes** from the main menu. Your notes are listed on the left, newest first, each with when it was last updated. Click the arrow on the edge of the list to collapse or expand it.

## Create a note

1. Click **New Note** at the top of the list.
2. Give the note a title, for example **MOM/ 2026.10.08** for the minutes of a meeting.
3. Start writing.

<Tip>
  Keep a note you can copy for things you write often, such as weekly meeting minutes or an interview debrief, and use **Duplicate** to start each new one from it. See [Manage your notes](#manage-your-notes).
</Tip>

## Read a note

Click a note in the list to open it. Under the title you'll see:

* The note's **author**.
* **Synced**, which tells you every change has been saved.
* How many **likes** and **comments** the note has.

Click the **expand** icon at the top right to read the note in full screen.

## Edit a note

Click **Edit** to start editing. You can change the title and the content.

The toolbar lets you:

* Choose a text style, such as a heading or normal **Text**.
* Make text **bold**, *italic*, underlined, or struck through, format code, and change its color.
* Add bulleted, numbered, and checklists, for example for action items.
* Add links, emoji, tables, columns, and images.

Drag the handle (**⋮⋮**) to the left of a block to move it somewhere else in the note. Mention teammates with **@**, for example `@Trang Huynh`, to show who chaired a meeting or owns an action.

Click **Save** when you've finished editing.

### Edit together, without losing anything

* **Everyone can edit at the same time.** If several people have the same note open, each person's changes appear for the others as they type. There's no need to take turns or send versions back and forth.
* **Your work is saved automatically.** Every change is saved as you type, and **Synced** shows that the note is up to date. If you close the page or lose your connection, nothing you've written is lost.

<Tip>
  Run meetings straight from a note. Open the minutes on the shared screen, and let the note-taker and everyone else add their points as the meeting goes.
</Tip>

## Share a note

Click **Share** at the top of a note, or choose **Share** from the note's **⋯** menu in the list.

1. Choose who can open the note:
   * **Internal**: only members of your company can open it.
   * **Public**: anyone with the link who is signed in to Enfue can open it, including people outside your company, similar to sharing a Google Doc. They only need an Enfue account.
2. Click **Copy link** to copy the note's permanent link, for example `https://app.enfue.com/shared/notes/...`, and send it to whoever needs it.

The link stays the same, so you can share it once, for example in your team's chat, and everyone always sees the latest version.

<Warning>
  Only make a note **Public** if it's fine for people outside your company to read it. Anyone with an Enfue account and the link can open a public note. Meeting minutes and interview notes often include candidate details and salary information that should stay **Internal**.
</Warning>

## Manage your notes

Hover over a note in the list and click **⋯** to:

| Action | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Delete** | Remove the note. |
| **Duplicate** | Make a copy of the note, for example to reuse last week's meeting minutes as a template. |
| **Share** | Change who can open the note and copy its link. See [Share a note](#share-a-note). |

## Ideas for Notes

* **Meeting minutes.** Use a consistent title, such as **MOM/ YYYY.MM.DD**, so they sort neatly and are easy to find.
* **Interview debriefs.** Collect everyone's thoughts on a candidate in one place before a hiring decision. For formal feedback on an applicant, ask interviewers for an [evaluation](/hiring/evaluations) as well.
* **Hiring plans.** Track open roles, owners, and deadlines in a table, and check off items as they're done.
